Thanks to my friends, Chuck and Nancy, I got to see Jim Brickman live at Interlochen for my birthday in June of 2005. It was a wonderful time with friends and great music. Since then, I've been listening more and more to Jim's music on CD and at www.accuradio.com in the Textures channel.
This past Sunday, October 8th, my friend and co-worker, Debbie R and I made the drive to Novi to see Jim perform at Borders Books. This was a special appearance to promote his new CD, "The Disney Songbook." I can't recommend this CD more highly. It is beautiful music for all ages. The album has many Disney favorites like the Mary Poppins medley and Beauty and the Beast. Plus it has songs and great vocal performances by Wayne Brady (The Wayne Brady Show), Kimberley Locke (American Idol), Josh Gracin (American Idol) and Lila McCann (great country artist).
It was fun to see Jim perform in a smaller setting and to have the opportunity to meet him afterward and get his autograph as well as a photo of me with him.
Be sure to check out the new CD. If you've never heard Jim before, spend some time at the Textures channel on accuradio.

For Arza's book
I made this layout for the graduation album I'm doing for Arza. I need a couple of recent photos--maybe even will wait for his graduation photos.

Great Aunt Rae's Molasses Cookies
This is a page I scrapped for a collection of recipes made by gals on the message board at www.stickersgalore.com
Great day at the beach
in 1979. This will always stand out as one of my favorite times visiting Lake Michigan. Nancy, Chuck, Becky and Dan Paternoster were there.
Nancy at home
both her own home and the Knox home.
The hands on the head were from playing Nervous. Anybody remember the rules for that?

Nancy at work
The photo on the right shows Nancy as director of a play at Lansing First Baptist, circa 1979. Rick VanOsdall is on the left. Trina and Chuck are in the background.
